Social Work Program Mission Statement
The mission of the Central Park School for Children school social work program is to forge strong relationships, build up support structures, dismantle barriers, enable opportunity, foster hope, and inspire visionary change. School social workers will provide comprehensive social work services to parents, students, and school staff. School social workers address barriers that prevent a student from receiving full benefit from their educational experience. School social workers embrace the challenge of confronting how racism, sexism, and other oppressive forces impact the quality of education our students receive. School social workers will create a fabric of support that promotes student success, family well-being, and social justice in our school community.
